2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’ series activities held by Pediatric Dentistry Department in Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yet-Sen University

In response to the call of the Chinese Stomatology Association for the FDI World Dental Federation, from March 15 to March 31, 2022, the science popularization team of Professor Zhao Wei, department of Pediatric Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology , Sun Yat-sen University, actively carry out the March, 20, 2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’ activities. During the period, the online and offline multi-dimensional popular science activities were combined to increase the coverage rate of the crowd, and through the activities, the creativity was exerted. We are committed to attracting the public to participate in March, 20, 2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’ with a series of creative and interesting activities to bring more oral health benefits.

From March 15 to March 31,2022, Professor Zhao Wei’s science popularization team ‘Yummy’ official account has published a total of 5 original science popularization graphics and 1 original science popularization video. To break the limitation of time and space, we have shared the posters and leaflets of FDI World Oral Health Day with the original content of the team, in order to implement the action of science popularization in response to March, 20, 2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’.

On the warm afternoon of March 18, 2022, the popular science offline activity with the theme of March, 20, 2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’ was successfully held in the waiting hall of department of Pediatric Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology , Sun Yat-sen University. Due to the epidemic situation, this activity was only for parents and children who visited the hospital on that day. We had a wonderful science popularization lecture.

Focusing on the theme ‘pride in oral health’ of March, 20, 2022 ‘World Oral Health Day’  on March 20, we shared the exquisite leaflets and posters made by China Stomatology Association and FDI World Dental Federation, so that more parents and children can know this special day. Also we prepared original science popularization animation, interesting Q&A, interactive teaching and so on. The interaction in the lecture was warm and the activities were widely praised.
