During this COVID19 pandemic, we are all advised to stay at home and practice social distancing to keep ourselves and loved ones safe. Without a doubt, social media is a dear friend during these time. In effort to celebrate World Oral Health day, dental students of University Brunei Darussalam created three fun filters for instagram users to interact with!
The first filter has the wordings “Unite for Mouth Health” and an image of a tooth that acts as face paint with animated apples as the background. This can help to increase world oral health day awareness.
The second filter is an interactive filter that follows the theme of World Oral Health Day 2020 where we invite users to pledge with us. The filter is a random pledge generator so users will have little surprise on what they should pledge with. They may also challenge their friends to pledge with them.
Examples of pledge includes;
I pledge to;
- Start Flossing
- Keep my mouth and body healthy
- Cut down on sugary treats
and many more.
The third filter are two sunglasses in a shape of healthy teeth and decayed teeth. Upon opening their mouth, the filter releases healthy vegetables and candies for the respective shapes of sunglasses.
The purpose of this is to remind users of healthy eating.
These filters were made available early march. Overall, our filters have reached out to a total of over 4,555 users and 415 captures for the three filters. Once captured, these videos and photos can be shared onto user’s profile or downloaded for their keepsake. These filters are fun and can be used anywhere in the world!
