The Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with the Community Partnership and Service Unit at Razi University, is launching the Toothie School Oral Health Program at Fursan Al-Yemen Model Schools for elementary school students. The program will initially target 100 male and female students from the second and third grades.
The Toothie program aims to raise awareness among elementary students about the importance of oral and dental health. It will involve the examination and diagnosis of dental conditions, study the prevalence of cavities among the students, and provide medical interventions, clinical treatments, and preventive care. The program also aims to promote healthy habits and link them to overall health. The program will be implemented over a period of four consecutive weeks, following practical and scientifically planned steps to ensure that students effectively and sustainably adopt healthy habits. Additionally, there will be a special lecture for teachers and school staff to empower them with knowledge on how to handle dental emergencies in school or at home.
