NOHP Puducherry -oral health and AIDS awareness session program conduct to Government middle school pandasozhanallur Nettapakkam

21/1/26 # Dental unit - PHC Nettapakkam @ School Dental Health Program @ Government Middle School, Pandasozhanallur .
1. AIDS awareness Campaign: A special session was conducted -on HIV / AIDS, Mode of spread, clinical manifestations , stages of HIV infection and free Antiretroviral treatment (ART) , Pre exposure prophylaxis, Post exposure prophylaxis, HIV-AIDS Prevention and Control Act - to highlight the basic facts of HIV and AIDS .
2. The students were also given awareness on a) Significance of Oral health to overall health with the theme "Happy mouth is a happy life." b) Do's and don'ts in oral care. c) Brushing techniques were demonstrated using dental models and posters d) Harmful effects of Tobacco on general health were highlighted.
3. TTP - The teachers were sensitised on HIV - AIDS & Do's and Don'ts in oral care. 
Beneficiaries: 117 students ( Boys-68/ girls -49) & 12 teachers 
Health staff: 1 Dental Surgeon & 1 Dental Assistant
