NOPH Puducherry - oral health awareness and oral screening program camp for Government primary school Senthanatham

An oral health and tobacco awareness program was conducted by PHC Villianur at the Government Primary School, Senthanatham, on 23/01/2026. The session focused on educating students and staff about the importance of oral hygiene, early detection of dental caries, and preventive measures to maintain good oral health. A proper brushing technique was demonstrated using dental models to encourage correct daily practices. Oral screening was also carried out to identify dental problems at an early stage and provide guidance for further care. The program created awareness about healthy oral habits and the harmful effects of tobacco. Overall, nearly 77 students and 5 staff members benefited from this initiative.
