March 20 marks the 19th World Oral Health Day, with this year's theme being "Healthy Mouth, Happy Life." The global official slogan "HAPPYMOUTH" conveys the concept of a joyful lifestyle starting from oral health. From 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day, the first-floor lobby of the hospital's Outpatient Area 1 was transformed into an "Oral Health Station," where a team of senior dentists provided free oral examinations and one-on-one health consultations to the public.
The free dental consultation site was bustling with crowds. Parents concerned about childhood dental caries, adolescents facing orthodontic challenges, and middle-aged and elderly individuals troubled by periodontal issues all received professional consultations and personalized dental care recommendations. The medical team served as "oral health educators," delivering essential daily care knowledge through illustrated exhibition boards, easily understandable brochures, and live demonstrations. They provided hands-on instruction on proper brushing techniques and dental floss usage skills. Within just two and a half hours, the team served over 50 individuals, bringing professional oral health services beyond clinical settings and closer to the public.
