TZ WOHD - 26 ACTIVITIES

This year, the Tanzania Dental Association will participate in the global commemoration of World Oral Health Day (WOHD 2026). The event will be preceded by a week-long series of activities which will include:-

1. Provide oral health education to the general public, aiming at raising awareness in the community at large
2. Free dental checkups to different communities, such as prisons, schools, and centers for people with special health care needs.
3. Oral health promotion to parents attending the Reproductive and Child Health clinic throughout the country,
4. School visits, a walk,  
5. Social Media campaign through Facebook, Twitter ( X), Instagram
6. A lecture will be conducted to professional as part of the continued professional development education during oral health week.
7. Free dental treatment will be provided to patients in need of treatment
8. Surgical camps to address cases that require major surgeries and Meetings.
9. The awareness walk to mark the Commemoration, is expected to be held in the Manyara region
